ohhhh.... great. YUCK – STUDY: STETHOSCOPES DIRTIER THAN PHYSICIAN’S HAND: According to a new study, stethoscopes carry more bacteria, such as Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), than a physician’s hand. After a physician’s exam, a stethoscope was found to be more contaminated with MRSA than all areas of the hand except the fingerprints, according to Dr. Didier Pittet, of the University of Geneva Hospitals in Switzerland, and colleagues. The fingerprints were the dirtiest. The stethoscope averaged 89 colony forming units compared to 37 on the base of thumb, 34 on the base of the pinkie finger, and 8 on the back of the hand. The researchers noted that most stethoscopes rarely get cleaned once a month.

argh. I've asked friends before...and apparently I'm pretty much the only person I know who uses the native email system on mac. I have way too many email addresses. I monitor and download ten email accounts. Sadly, it crashed Friday.. just reformatted today...sigh... love technology.

Couldn't for the life of me figure out what was distracting a group of six middle schoolers in my last class. I was watching..but was unable to see without question what was happening. Until..at about ten minutes till end of class. That is when the unrolled condom fell on the ground. I have to say...in that oh so long minute of time between the kid grabbing it up...and throwing it away...so many potential comments came to mind....and not ONE felt like it wouldn't lead to paperwork....THATS FRUSTRATION...

so much of subbing is bluffing in my opinion. I wish I didn't have to pretend to care if they talked loudly. But...its a history class...so I pretend to get upset etc etc...and honestly when I'm tossing a kid to the office...its really hard not to laugh and compliment a kid on his timing...when, as he walks thru the door he mutters, "geesh, someone needs a hug" ALMOST got a free pass on that one kid...

Well.. done watching the olympics tonight. Saw some figure skating. Nice. Cant watch anymore of the "We are going to strap skis on you and push you down this hill with nasty bumps. ( probably only white guy in the school ) Young male obviously flirting with girl next to him as he takes her phone ( yes, they were allowed phones and he was looking at her texts ) : "Oh, who's Daddy?"
