So, I said this on facebook...

Friends.. I've done this for a number of years.. its a blast..well, I do have odd taste in fun.. but.. I enjoy it... On Friday, March 14, 2014 the City of Pasadena and 16 of its cultural institutions will once again sponsor ArtNight Pasadena. We need 15 personable, knowledgeable Docents to ride the shuttle buses and guide the drivers and patrons. Docents are an important part of the ArtNight experience and are reimbursed $10/hour for attending the training and for working on the night of the event (total $75). To be ArtNight Pasadena Docent this Spring, you will need to be able to do all of the following: * Attend ONE of the following mandatory training sessions in Pasadena to learn how to be a Docent February 10, 2014 - 6:30 pm to 8:00pm; or February 19, 2014 - 12 noon - 1:30 pm; or February 20, 2014 - 6:30 pm to 8:00pm; * Have use of a cell phone during the ArtNight event; * Be available to work from 4:45 pm - 10:45 pm on Friday, March 14, 2014, * Be able to personally drive each of the shuttle bus routes prior to Friday, March 14, 2014 (you will be navigating bus drivers on the night of the event, NOT driving) * Please be a person with a friendly demeanor who enjoys engaging with other art patrons on this fun, free night * Be 18 years or older If you are interested in becoming a Docent, please respond to me by email: jfil-contractor@cityofpasadena.net and provide the following: Name: Mailing address: email address: cell phone #: Meeting date you will attend: Please RSVP and I will send you the location of the meeting - first come, first served.
